Roads, parking lots, and county roads are icing, and wet roads are expected to freeze soon. Please stay safe and warm as the temperatures start dropping even colder.

Due to the winter weather advisory and forecasted winter weather conditions, Pauls Valley Schools will transition to virtual learning on Tuesday, February 18th. Students should have received packets or will have work assigned on Google Classroom. Teachers will be available through email and Rooms. Stay safe and warm!

As a reminder, there will be no school on Monday, February 17th. This will be a professional day for our staff. Enjoy the three-day weekend and happy Presidents' Day!

The latest updates have pushed the potential winter weather further south and could impact travel conditions in Garvin County. Out of an abundance of caution and to provide as much notice as possible, Pauls Valley Schools will be closed tomorrow, Wednesday, February 12, 2025. Safety is our first priority! We do not want to place students and staff on potentially unsafe road conditions. This will be a traditional snow day.

We are monitoring the forecast for Wednesday morning in our area. At this time, all freezing precipitation is predicted to be north of Pauls Valley. We are in contact with Garvin County Emergency Management and the National Weather Service and will be up early to check weather and road conditions.

SUBSTITUTES NEEDED
Pauls Valley Schools is looking for substitute teachers for the remainder of the current school year. Applications are available in person at the Superintendent's Office at 301 North Chickasaw.

We look forward to welcoming all of our Panthers back to school tomorrow after the long weekend. It is forecasted to be a very cold start to the day tomorrow. The National Weather Service graphic includes tips for dressing warm. Layering and using gloves and caps provides warmth while outside and the ability to remove layers for comfort in warm buildings. Please consider dropping students off if possible to reduce any time they may spend outside.

Hannah Whitehouse was 2nd chair trombone in the OkMEA All-State Orchestra and Jadence Carrasco was 1st chair horn in the OkMEA All-State Symphonic Band.
Pauls Valley alumni Piper Quinn performed with the OkMEA Intercollegiate Honor Band!
We are very proud of all of the musical accomplishments we have seen out of these ladies!

Pauls Valley Public Schools will be closed on Monday, January 20th, in honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Stay warm over the weekend, and we look forward to seeing everyone back at school on Tuesday, January 21st.

Due to the continued forecasted winter weather and unsafe roads, Pauls Valley Schools will be closed on Friday, January 10th. This will be a traditional snow day; no virtual work will be provided. Enjoy the snow, but stay safe and warm!

Due to the uncertainty of winter weather forecasts and out of an abundance of caution, Pauls Valley Schools will have online learning tomorrow, Thursday, January 9th. Safety is always the top priority, and we are exercising caution for all our students and staff.
Each class will handle this a little differently - some assignments were sent home on paper, and others on Google Classroom - but don’t worry, we will ensure plenty of time for fun in the snow should the weather cooperate.
If you have not already downloaded the Pauls Valley School App, we recommend downloading it now. Teachers will be available through school email or Rooms. We will continue to monitor the weather and provide updates on any future closings through our website, social media, and the Pauls Valley Schools App.
Stay safe and stay warm!

A Winter Weather Advisory has been issued for a large area of Oklahoma, including Pauls Valley. A final decision regarding the status of school tomorrow will be made this evening. Our district wants to provide enough notice to all our parents and staff while balancing the ability to obtain the most recent forecast information. Once a decision is made, information will be shared on our website, Facebook, and the Pauls Valley Schools App.
