Panther Family,
We would like to provide an update on our survey response that was sent out on Monday afternoon. On the first day, we received over 250 responses from staff, parents, and community members. If you have completed the survey, thank you for contributing to the data collection process and the impact it will have on our strategic planning efforts moving forward.
If you have not had an opportunity to complete the survey, please consider adding your thoughts as soon as possible. We will continue to share invitations with parents and community members in the next couple of weeks. We invite you to share these messages on social media and encourage others to participate in the future of our school community.
For your convenience, you can access the survey here: https://tejoin.com/scroll/704331053

Dear Panther family:
We are fortunate to live in and serve a community that believes in the power of public education. Our friends, neighbors, and fellow residents sincerely want every student in our district to experience academic and personal success.
The school board recently approved a major initiative to develop a five-year strategic plan for the school district's future. This is an opportunity for us to discuss what we want our schools and education to look like and what we want to accomplish for our students.
As a parent of a Panther student, your involvement is critical to this effort. Our district is partnering with the Oklahoma State School Boards Association (OSSBA) and the K20 Center at the University of Oklahoma to develop a five-year strategic plan.
Here are the steps:
Today, we are launching a survey to gather feedback from staff members, students, and parents about their school experience. It will also help us identify the strengths of the district, as well as opportunities for improvement.
Complete the survey here: https://tejoin.com/scroll/704331053
The survey will close on September 26th, and all responses will be sent directly to OSSBA staff.
In the fall, we will take a deep dive into the survey data and student achievement data to help inform our decisions for the future: develop the district’s long-term plan using the stakeholder and district data to inform our goals for the future, and develop action plans we can use to work together and attain them.
This is an exciting and intensive process that many other school districts throughout Oklahoma have successfully adopted and implemented to ensure their districts have clear, student-centered goals that lead to continuous improvement.
Thank you for your dedication to our students and for being involved in this important process. I can't wait to work together to elevate our district – and our services for students – to the next level.
Sincerely,
Dr. Brett Knight
Superintendent
